Kati Rubinyi, founder and president of Civic Projects Inc. brings a design approach to strategic planning, the future of mobility, and urban design and planning. Kati is an innovative and dedicated consultant to (mostly) municipal and public agency clients. A formerly licensed architect, her multi-disciplinary practice is founded on experience with multiple project phases for architecture firms on the east coast, and urban planning experience that includes policy writing as well as performance management.
Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Kati holds a BA in philosophy (Concordia University, Montreal), BES and B.Arch. in professional architecture (University of Waterloo, Ontario Canada) and an MFA (Art Center College of Design, Pasadena).
Charu Kukreja is an active transportation planner, writer and designer with broad experience on projects in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. She has contributed her creativity and expertise to initiatives spanning from long-range transportation planning to design of urban pedestrian and bike infrastructure, as well as a number of outreach campaigns to promote the development of vibrant, walkable communities. She was a core team member of Walk NYC, leading GIS analysis, information design, and graphic production for New York City’s wayfinding mapping database.
Originally from Chicago, Charu has a Master of City and Regional Planning from Rutgers and a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
