For the City of LA Controller's office, Civic Projects researched LAWA environmental sustainability metrics and community development issues, with a focus on LAX, as part of a team led by KH Consulting Group.
As sub-consultant on a team led by KH Consulting Group for the City of Los Angeles Controller’s office on a survey of industrial, economic and administrative practices at LAWA, Civic Project’s work included gathering environmental sustainability metrics that LAWA produced for LAX, Van Nuys and Ontario, and bringing the metrics together so the controller could understand the airport’s tracking of environmental sustainability. Civic Projects contributed research and writing on LAWA’s governance, public art program, transportation at LAX, barriers to environmental sustainability and reporting, and progress made toward honoring the airport’s community benefits agreement (CBA).
